Gas Storage Facility

Hargrove provided engineering, procurement and overall site development services including buildings for the four compressors, the control/maintenance operations and the tank farm.  Process equipment included gas compressors, filter/separators to remove excess liquids prior to the gas entering the dehydration units, and two dehydration units using triethylene glycol to remove the remaining moisture from the gas stream. A tank farm, regeneration unit, and standby generator were also designed and installed to support this facility.


This EPC (Design-Build) project involved the design and construction of a greenfield, high-pressure gas compression and storage facility.

We recently supported a fast track project to develop a 40 tank expansion conceptual design and basis of estimate for board review. The estimate included quotations for major equipment, high-level material take-off, and material and labor cost factors. The site expansion included site grading and drainage, new roads and lighting, storage tanks, containment dykes, new pipe racks, new utilities area, new power distribution and new rail, ship, barge and truck unloading/ loading.

Hargrove’s team works within API standards for equipment design. We recently completed a Methanol Storage Terminal Expansion project which included three (3) API 650 storage tanks with IFRs, transfer pumps and process safety devices. Hargrove covers API Recommended Practices RP-1 to RP-3000.
