HARGROVE FOUNDATION REACHES $2MM GIVING MILESTONE

The Hargrove Foundation has reached a milestone in giving as of spring 2021 – they have now contributed over $2 million dollars to charitable causes across the country! Since inception in 2012, the Hargrove Foundation has been on a mission to support groups and organizations making a difference in the areas of health and human services, education, arts and culture, and qualified sports activities. Reaching this milestone would not be possible without the support of Hargrove Teammates and partners in all Hargrove office locations.

“We are excited to reach this point in our charitable giving,” says Micki Kohn, President of the Board for the Hargrove Foundation. “It’s incredible to think of the thousands of lives that have been positively impacted by the $2.1MM we’ve now funneled back to our communities.”

The Hargrove Foundation hosts several events across the country each year to raise funds and awareness including fishing rodeos, golf tournaments, auctions, block parties, and an annual black-tie Gala event. The Hargrove Foundation was originally founded after Hargrove realized a desire to mobilize in support of victims when several tornadoes devastated northern Alabama in 2011. Disaster relief efforts remains paramount to our Team, having supported victims of many flooding and hurricane disasters over the last decade, and having given $100,000 in COVID-19 relief.

“We look forward to continuing to give back to the communities that surround our 16 offices and beyond,” says Ralph A. Hargrove, President and CEO of Hargrove Engineers + Constructors. “As our family of companies continues to grow and serve clients in new areas, it also creates opportunities to show leadership and renew our Team’s passion for community outreach.”

HARGROVE FOUNDATION HOSTS FOURTH ANNUAL GALA

OCT 12, 2018

The Hargrove Foundation will host its fourth annual gala on Thursday, November 29th, 2018 at the Battle House Hotel in downtown Mobile, Alabama. We are privileged to have Frank Abagnale, leading authority on anti-fruad and security, and subject of Steven Spielberg’s film “Catch Me if You Can”, as our keynote speaker for this year’s event. The evening will begin with an invitation-only cocktail hour for VIP sponsors and then festivities will continue with a reception at 6 p.m., followed by the dinner and program at 7 p.m.

Frank Abagnale is one of the world’s leading authorities on anti-fraud and security practices. Steven Spielberg’s film “Catch Me If You Can,” is based entirely on the story of Abagnale’s life. With Abagnale depicted by Leonardo DiCaprio, the film highlights his life as one of America’s most infamous con men, embezzling millions of dollars by posing as an airline pilot, attorney, professor, and physician — all before the age of 21. After recognizing his highly-specialized skill set, Abagnale became an asset to the FBI and has been associated with the agency for over 40 years. Now, Abagnale consults with Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions, and government agencies about embezzlement, forgery and security practices.

“We look forward to hearing Mr. Abagnale’s unique perspective on anti-fraud practices,” says Steve McClure, Chairmain of the Hargrove Foundation Board of Directors. “Clearly he is a very intelligent individual with a Spielberg-worthy story. I wouldn’t want to miss it!”

Proceeds from the event will once again be directed to the HAT Project, dedicated to helping mobility limited children achieve more independence through the use of adaptive cars. To learn more about Hargrove’s Adaptive Toy Project, visit hargives.org.

For guests that may choose to stay at The Battle House Hotel, a special event group rate is available. Ticket and partnership details can be found online at hargrovefoundation.org/2018gala.
