The partnership provides hazard and operability studies (HAZOP) and layers of protection analyses (LOPA), participates in design reviews, calculates probability of failure on demand (PFD), performs criticality analyses, and tests on new systems. The combined capabilities of Hargrove and HIMA help the process industrial operations teams install or maintain “failsafe” control systems that have logic, actuators, sensors, and other control equipment independent of your basic process control system to ensure safety instrumented systems functionality is not compromised.
