Hargrove’s Vice President of Controls + Automation, Karen Griffin, PE, was recently named to the national board of CSIA (Control System Integrators Association) at its 2019 Executive Conference in Asheville, N.C. Karen joins seven other controls and systems integration professionals to round out the national board.

Through CSIA, premier minds in the industry able to gather, develop, and share best practices that directly and positively impacts our clients.” CSIA best practices are the industry standard for successful management of a control system integration business. The organization also offers certification to companies who successfully demonstrate implementation of best practices, which includes project management, financial benchmarks, quality assurance, staff development, information management and cybersecurity, as well as many other business aspects.
Hargrove Controls + Automation is one of few multi-service automation groups in the country for safety systems, industrial internet of things (IIoT) and plant automation. Since its inception in 2012, Hargrove’s C+A Team has grown to over 100 control systems engineers and specialists across all of Hargrove’s 14 offices. The Team consists of panel builders, instrumentation designers, programmers, certified process safety engineers and process control engineers specializing in DCS/PLC/SIS system integration.
CSIA is a not-for-profit, global trade association whose goal is to the advance the control systems integration industry. Control system integrators use their engineering, technical and business skills to help manufacturers and others automate their industrial equipment and systems. CSIA helps members improve their business skills, provides a forum to share industry expertise and promotes the benefits of hiring CSIA members and certified control system integrators.
